On Saturday afternoon, Texas A&M took Kyle Field for the second consecutive weekend, wanting to accomplish numerous things by the game’s conclusion. After the opening season loss to Notre Dame, some meat was left on the bone on the offensive side, and the defense needed to sure up the run fit.
However, the most important thing was to win and do it dominantly. Unlike in the NFL, style points matter in college, and the Aggies needed a good showing. In totality, the first team came to play by running up the score and stifling the McNeese offensive.
The second team understandably did not look as sharp, but eventually settling in, they gained valuable reps during the second half of the game. A 52-10 win at home is a good bounce-back from a loss and gives them some momentum heading into Gainsville, where they will take on the Florida Gators next weekend.
