For the second time this season, Penn State couldn’t keep pace with the top-ranked team in the country after halftime. Penn State dropped a road game at Purdue on Wednesday night, 80-60, after getting outscored by 14 points after halftime. Penn State hung around with Purdue in the first half but trailed by six points at the break.
[autotag]Seth Lundy[/autotag] led the Nittany Lions with 18 points and [autotag]Jalen Pickett[/autotag] added 12 points and five rebounds with seven assists in the loss. Penn State attempted just four free throws all night long, while the Boilermakers converted 10 of their 14 foul shots in the win.
The loss drops Penn State to 14-8 overall and 5-6 in Big Ten play as the month of February gets started and the race for the Big Ten tournament officially begins.
