The LSU softball team made a nice run in the 2024 SEC tournament, surviving a marathon that went 14 innings in the opening round against Alabama before dispatching top-seeded Tennessee in the quarterfinals.
But their stay in Auburn, Alabama, came to an end on Friday afternoon as the Tigers fell in extra innings on a walk-off against No. 5-seeded Missouri in the semifinal round. Coach Beth Torina’s team out-hit Mizzou and had its chances, stranding five runners on base.
Now, however, LSU will head home and await its NCAA tournament selection. In the meantime, here are the photos from Friday’s final outing in Auburn.
