The Boston Celtics lost the only contest of their 2023-24 preseason slate of games against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 9 and came into their rematch at TD Garden on Tuesday evening with revenge on their minds.
And while the contest was an exhibition game, both teams played the first three quarters as if it counted, with Boston coming away with said revenge by the end of the final frame with a 123-110 win. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, with Kristaps Porzingis adding another 20 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks. Jaylen Brown added 17 points and 6 assists, and Sam Hauser chipped in another 15 points off the bench.
