Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 32 points on 13-of-22 shooting. He missed on a potential game-tying 3-pointer on the final possession. In his first NBA game in his home state, Chet Holmgren had 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The Timberwolves were led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. Towns had 13 points and 10 rebounds; Gobert had 17 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks.

Anthony Edwards had 21 points before leaving the game in the third quarter due to a hip injury.
