There was drama along the way, but the Texas A&M baseball team, led by their head coach Jim Schlossnagle, advanced through the regional round of the NCAA baseball tournament with a 3-0 clip for the weekend.
On their way through the weekend, the Aggies defeated Oral Roberts 8-2, Louisiana 9-6, and TCU 15-9 in a wild, back and forth final.
Coach Schlossnagle praised the A&M faithful Saturday night for showing up to help their team.
“First of all, what a great showing by the 12th man tonight. They are every reason you would want to come to Texas A&M to play baseball from an atmosphere standpoint. They definitely played a role in the game, and I want to speak on behalf of our team to thank the 12th man and all the Aggie fans who came out and were loud tonight from the first pitch.”
The Aggies will be depending on that atmosphere again when they host the Super Regional next week.
