Marcus Davis is making his return to the Plains as Auburn’s newest wide receivers coach according to reports.
The former Tiger wideout played at Auburn from 2013-16 and was a three-year starter for the Tigers and a team captain in 2016. He caught 83 passes for 650 yards and three scores in his playing days.
After his playing days were over he immediately got into coaching, becoming an offensive analyst and strength and conditioning intern for the Tigers in 2018. He was then promoted to assistant director of player personnel and player development for the 2019 season.
He left the Plains ahead of the 2020 season to become a graduate assistant for the Florida State Seminoles and got his first on-field coaching job in 2021 as wide receivers coach at Hawaii. He once again changed jobs in 2022 and became wide receivers coach at Georgia State.
He is now set to become the wide receivers coach at Auburn. Here is a look at the best photos from his playing career.
