Here’s a look back at Hugh Freeze’s time at Ole Miss and Liberty.

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze brings 10 years of FBS head coaching experience with him to the Plains, boosting an 83-43 record.

Freeze led the football program at Lambuth University until 2010, when he made the move to the FBS level, becoming the offensive coordinator at Arkansas State under head coach Steve Roberts.

He received a promotion in 2011 to become the Red Wolves’ head coach. He held the post for one season, leading Arkansas State to a 10-3 record and earning Sun Belt coach of the year honors. He became successful quickly, so much so, that Ole Miss offered him the head football coaching position in 2012. He would lead the Rebels program to 39 wins in five seasons before resigning due to a series of recruiting violations.

He got redemption in 2019 when he was hired as the head coach at Liberty University. He won 34 games as the head coach of the Flames, earning wins over major programs such as Arkansas, Virginia Tech, and BYU.

Now, Freeze returns to the SEC as the new leader of the Auburn Tigers. Here is a look back at Freeze’s career as a head coach.
