Not many teams in the country could go without their three leading scorers and yet, continue to flourish in the postseason. But that’s what the Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team has accomplished with two impressive wins in the NIT.
Will Richardson, N’Faly Dante and Jermaine Couisnard were all unavailable due to injuries. Fortunately, only Richardson is definitely out for the season with the other two players still having the possibility of playing again this season.
In their absence, players such as Nate Bittle, Kel’el Ware, and Keeshawn Barthelemy have all stepped up to propel the Ducks into the quarterfinals where Wisconsin will be waiting Tuesday night.
Our own Ethan Landa was on hand to witness Oregon’s 68-54 win over Central Florida Sunday night.
