The Suns had the chance to eliminate the Clippers in Game 5 in the Valley of the Sun, but Phoenix trailed 59-52 at halftime. They were unable to make up the ground in the second half, as they were outscored 57-50 in the final 24 minutes.
The Clippers were catching six points in Game 5, and the ended up covering wire-to-wire for side bettors. L.A. shot a healthy 55% from the field, and they were an impressive 14-for-15, or 93%, from the free-throw line while turning it over nine times to 15 for the Suns.

The CLIPPERS (-110) had their backs against the wall on the road in Game 5, and they scratched out an impressive victory. They’ll return home for Game 6, and do it yet again. The final game is the hardest to win in a series, and the Suns (-110) are finding that out first hand.

Against the spread (ATS)
If you like the CLIPPERS -1 (-105) to win the game, then there is no real reason to choose the money line over the spread. Unless, of course, you are predicting a one-point game. I think this one will be close, but the Clips get the cover and force a decisive Game 7.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 214.5 (-105) is the best play on the board in this one. The Under is 2-0 in the first two meetings at Staples Center in this series including just 164 total points in Game 4. The Under is also 3-1 in the past four in this series.
Nerves will affect both sides, especially early on, and they’ll be playing catch-up trying to hit the total all evening. It won’t be like Game 4, a slam-dunk Under result, but it will come through in the end.
