A few former Colorado Buffaloes players are doing whatever it takes to continue to play professional football. Former quarterback Steven Montez is a member of the Seattle Sea Dragons, and now the Sea Dragons have signed former Buffs RB Philip Lindsay to a deal, according to Tom Peilissero of NFL Network.
Lindsay began his NFL career with the Denver Broncos and posted two 1,000-yard seasons and 16 combined touchdowns in those two seasons. In his third year, he ran for just 502 yards, and then he jumped around, spending time with the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins.
Lindsay signed with the Indianapolis Colts last season but played in just three games with 15 carries, so now a move to the XFL should give him more opportunities.
Veteran RB Phillip Lindsay is signing with the XFL’s Seattle Sea Dragons, per source.
A two-time 1,000-yard rusher, Lindsay should have ample opportunities in June Jones’ offense to showcase himself for an NFL return and is still only 28.

The XFL has become a hotbed for former NFL players and college players, and it has been a fun league to watch, especially with some bigger names in the game such as AJ McCarron and Josh Gordon.
The Sea Dragons’ offense is a good one with June Jones running the show, and at the age of 28, Lindsay can try to make NFL teams consider signing him to another deal if he plays well.
