Prediction

Phillies 4, Mets 2

Moneyline (ML)

Take the PHILLIES (-118) while they try to split the four-game series in New York. The Mets (+105) are slight underdogs despite winning Saturday and Sunday’s games by scores of 5-1 and 14-1, respectively, but the Phillies won Friday’s series opener 5-3.

Philadelphia leads the season series 4-2 and looks to get back on track before Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox. The Phillies have still won 10 of their last 13 games to sit second in the division. The Mets have won four of five after a five-game losing streak.

New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Phillies (-118) to win returns a profit of $8.47.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

Double down on the PHILLIES -1.5 (+125) with the run line as Wheeler starts against his former club for the first time.

Each of his four wins this season has been by a multi-run margin and the Phillies have a fifth win by 3 runs in a game he started and went 5 2/3 innings but took a no-decision.

Over/Under (O/U)

Go with the UNDER 9 (-110). Expect Wheeler to go deep into the game and spare the Phillies’ lowly bullpen. Peterson has also been pitching very well in his first MLB season and will keep this one close until Philadelphia tacks on some late runs.
