The 2020 NFL season is upon us and as the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to travel to D.C. to face the Washington Football Team, the Birds just announced four practice squad players who’ll be protected in advance of the season opener.

The Eagles and the 31 other NFL Teams will also be able to protect four practice squad players each week by Tuesday, preventing other teams from signing them to their 53-man rosters. The remaining 12 unprotected players can sign with another team’s 53-man roster, but cannot be signed away to another team’s practice squad.
Eagles players can be called up twice to the 53-man roster from the practice squad without being subject to waivers when they return to the practice squad.
