Brown started 23 of 56 games played in San Diego and LA after being selected in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL draft. In his career, Brown had accounted for 265 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 12 passes deflected, and 3 forced fumbles.
He was expected to be a potential starter at middle linebacker, but the move will likely increase the chances that T.J. Edwards starts in the middle.
