Eagles at 49ers: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

49ers 31, Eagles 20

Money line (?)

The reigning NFC champs have taken advantage of a soft early-season schedule while battling through what should be a devastating rash of injuries. TE George Kittle (knee) is expected back for Week 4 in the Niners’ return to Levi’s Stadium and rookie WR Brandon Aiyuk is coming off a breakout performance against the Giants.

Mullens will have more than enough firepower to lead the 49ers (-304) to a third straight win, but this price is too steep for an injury-riddled team on both sides of the ball. The price on the Eagles (+250) is intriguing, but their injury situation only continues to worsen and there’s little hope for their turnaround to start on the West Coast coming off an ugly tie.

PASS on the money line and get better value on the Niners on the spread.

Against the spread (?)

The emergency of Aiyuk and return of Kittle should allow the 49ERS -7 (-110) to get to 30 points for the third straight week and the Eagles won’t be able to keep pace.

There’s fear the back door will be open for much of the second half of this one, but the Niners will build a safe enough lead to cover the spread in a double-digit win.

Over/Under (?)

Play the OVER 45.5 (-110) with the Niners getting healthier on offense. Both defenses are also riddled by injuries so the Eagles should be able to do enough on the scoreboard.
