The Philadelphia 76ers are dealing with the horrible news of Kelly Oubre Jr. being struck by a vehicle on Saturday night. They must now do their best to support him and his recovery.

Oubre was struck near his residence in Center City and was hospitalized for his injuries. President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and others joined him there to check up on him. Local authorities investigated the incident, and he was released from the hospital that night.

The Sixers provided an update on Sunday, disclosing Oubre suffered a fractured rib. He will be out indefinitely and will be reevaluated in one week.

Oubre has been playing terrific basketball to begin the season. He’s averaging 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds, shooting 50% from the floor. He has been a helpful defender while stepping in as a starter after the team traded PJ Tucker. The Sixers will continue to support him through his recovery.
