Philadelphia 76ers free agency player profiles: versatile E’Twaun Moore

Free-agent shooter E’Twaun Moore could be a nice addition for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 2019-20 season will resume as 22 teams descend on Orlando in the NBA’s “bubble site” in order to safely complete the season. However, it’s always fun to look ahead to the offseason and that is what we’re going to do.

Sixers Wire continues its look at possible free agency options for the Philadelphia 76ers and continues to break down the possible options at each area of need. Thursday’s edition focuses on a shooter who has some versatile skill who can come off the bench or even start for stretches.

E’Twaun Moore

Moore shoots 37.5% from deep on 3.1 attempts per game. The New Orleans Pelicans like him, but at 31-years old, Moore should be looking for a chance to play for a team contending for a title like Philadelphia. He does a terrific job of finding his spot on the floor and he understands how spacing works. He could form a nice bench duo with Furkan Korkmaz.

On top of being a solid spot-up shooter–he shoots 40.5% on catch and shoot threes per NBA Stats–Moore can put the ball on the floor a bit and create for himself. He averages 2.7 assists per 36 minutes so that shows off a bit of playmaking in his game.

As mentioned before, the Sixers do not have a lot of money to spend in the 2020 free agency market. Therefore, they will have to look at cheaper targets at the spots that they need to fill. In Philadelphia’s case, they need some shooting so they will have to look at guys like Moore who can help right away and be fine with a smaller contract. [lawrence-related id=32858,32874,32861]
