The league is making its return after being suspended since March 11, but free agency is always a fun thing to talk about, so why not keep it going? Sixers Wire continues its potential Philadelphia 76ers free agency targets by looking at a shooter who can help right away.
Obviously, the Sixers need some shooting in the worst way. The lack of shooting has been one of the many reasons why the Al Horford fit on the floor hasn’t exactly been all that great. So, Monday’s edition will be focused on a shooter who can help Philadelphia right now and won’t be expensive due to their lack of funds right now.
Langston Galloway
Galloway is probably the team’s best fit. He shot 39.9% from deep during the 2019-20 season for a bad Detroit Pistons team and he shot 40.7% on catch and shoot 3-pointers per NBA Stats. Imagine that type of skill catching passes from Ben Simmons driving and kicking or Joel Embiid passing out of the post.
He does not exactly offer much else on the floor, but in Philadelphia, that catch and shoot ability from deep will make all the difference in the world. He is a guy who can go on a hot streak and knock down multiple 3-pointers in a game and he even has a clutch gene as well. He would be a perfect addition to the Sixers.
As mentioned before, the Sixers will have the highest payroll entering the 2020-21 season and they will only have about $6 million to play with. They could offer Galloway a small 1-year deal and have him space the floor to enhance their offense. [lawrence-related id=32745,32738,32731]
