The 76ers covered the spread as 4-point home favorites Friday with a 117-110 win vs. the Toronto Raptors. C Joel Embiid had 25 points for the 76ers, who have won back-to-back games after losing 3 straight.

The Bucks failed to cover as 2-point home favorites Thursday in a 140-99 loss vs. the Boston Celtics. Milwaukee covered for just 1% of the game and trailed by as many as 49 points.

The 76ers lead this season’s series 2-1 straight up and against the spread with the Under hitting in 2 meetings. Philadelphia covered as a 5-point road underdog in a 133-130 win as the Over 233 cashed in the most recent meeting March 4.

76ers at Bucks picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 125, 76ers 115

Moneyline

PASS.

Milwaukee (-200) should tie the season series 2-2 with a win Sunday, but there is no need to pay the higher price on the moneyline when the Bucks should win by margin. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

BET BUCKS -5.5 (-105).

Milwaukee’s loss vs. the Celtics matched its most lopsided defeat of the season and it should come out extra focused Sunday in an attempt to bounce back. The Bucks’ other 41-point defeat was a 142-101 loss as 3-point underdogs Dec. 15 at the Memphis Grizzlies. Milwaukee followed up that performance with a 123-97 win vs. the Utah Jazz as a 2-point home favorite Dec. 17 without F Giannis Antetokounmpo in the lineup.

The 76ers covered vs. the Raptors last time out, but their performance was not very impressive. The 76ers were outscored 53-40 in the 2nd half and allowed Toronto to cut its 24-point deficit down to just 2 with 5:50 remaining in the 4th quarter. Look for Milwaukee to take advantage of a 76ers team that has struggled to put together complete games lately.

Over/Under

BET OVER 236.5 (-110).

The Over is 7-3 in Philadelphia’s last 10 games vs. teams with a winning percentage above .600 and 7-0 in Milwaukee’s last 7 at home vs. teams with a road winning percentage greater than that number.

The Over has hit in 4 of the Bucks’ last 5 games and should hit again Sunday as Milwaukee’s offense bounces back after scoring less than 100 points last time out.
