Philadelphia 76ers at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Philadelphia 76ers at Milwaukee Bucks NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Philadelphia 76ers (39-20) face the Milwaukee Bucks (36-22) Saturday in their second consecutive meeting at Fiserv Forum. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the 76ers-Bucks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Milwaukee beat Philly 124-117 Thursday and covered the spread as a 6-point favorite. The game was more lopsided than the final score indicates because the Sixers outscored the Bucks 30-16 in the fourth quarter.

The Sixers have lost three games in a row following a four-game winning streak and are 2-4-1 against the spread (ATS) over this span.

The Bucks’ win over the Sixers snapped a two-game losing skid and they are 4-2 straight up and ATS over their last six games.

This is considered a “double-revenge” spot for Philly, as it lost the first two meetings of the season with Milwaukee. The Bucks have beaten the Sixers in four straight meetings and five of their last six contests (4-2 ATS).

Prediction

Bucks 118, 76ers 107

Money line (ML)

PASS because Milwaukee should cruise past a Philly team without  Simmons, who’s the Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner, and possibly Embiid; however, the Bucks (-350) are just too pricy for an outright victory.

We’ve recently seen deep teams like the Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets win with All-Stars on the shelf and the Sixers are trying to prevent the season sweep to the Bucks.

Against the spread (ATS)

The BUCKS -7.5 (-110) have too many playmakers and shot creators for a Sixers team missing one of the league’s best defenders. The biggest reason for the Sixers’ three-game slide is Simmons missed each contest.

Milwaukee’s offense flowed smoothly vs. Philly Thursday and players were getting quality looks. Four Bucks players had 5 or more assists, they had 32 assists as a team and Milwaukee shot 50% from 3-point range (20-for-40).

Also, the previous 76ers-Bucks game should’ve ended with Milwaukee winning by a double-digit margin as Philly almost “snuck in the backdoor”.

“LEAN” to the BUCKS -7.5 (-110) for a half unit only because this is a “double-revenge” spot for the Sixers.

Over/Under (O/U)

Thursday’s 76ers-Bucks game had a 224.5-point total and while it went Over by 16.5 points I think the 5-point increase in this total is too much.

Granted, Milwaukee did move the ball well Thursday, but the 50% 3-point performance as a team was a bit flukey. Bucks bigs Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis scored a combined 39 points and hit 9 of 12 from 3-point land.

Prior to the last meeting, the previous three 76ers-Bucks games went Under the total by an average of 15.8 points.

BET UNDER 227.5 (-105) for 1 unit.
