Continuing with our 2021-22 season review for each player on the Philadelphia 76ers, we turn our attention to a fan favorite, Paul Reed. The man nicknamed “Bball Paul” played in only 38 games, with two starts, during the regular season, but he came on late and played a role in the postseason.
Reed, an energetic second-year big man out of DePaul, had trouble getting on the court in the early part of the sesaon. Sitting behind both Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond on the depth chart, it appeared he would have an opportunity when Drummond was moved to the Brooklyn Nets in the James Harden deal.
However, the Sixers brought in veteran DeAndre Jordan, and Reed did not see much action as the backup until the playoffs.
