Hopefully, Phil Steele is off with this prediction…

Phil Steele normally has some great insight when it comes to the college football landscape, however, this year Spartans fans are going to want him to not be as spot on with his predictions.

Every summer Steele releases an in-depth college football preview magazine where he takes a look at every FBS school. This year is no different, with his predictions on the upcoming season starting to come out, and he isn’t particularly high on the Spartans.

Steele has Michigan State finishing dead last in the Big Ten East Division this season, which to me is somewhat surprising to see. Here’s some of what Steele had to say about the Spartans:

This year they have 15 returning starters and look to be much improved. …They look to be a year away from making a move in the East race.

To no surprise, Steele has the Buckeyes winning the East Divison and Wisconsin winning the West Division.
