Nebraska football announced Phil Snow as the team’s associate head coach. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported the news. Snow joined the program in November as a defensive consultant.
He has previous ties to Rhule, as he worked with him at Temple, Baylor, and the Carolina Panthers. He was Temple’s defensive coordinator and safeties coach from 2013-16. He then served as defensive coordinator at Baylor from 2017 to 2019.
Snow was the defensive coordinator of the Panthers from 2020-2022.
It will be interesting to see how Snow leaves his imprint on the program in the upcoming season. At the very least, he has experience from all levels of football. This is important as the Huskers coaching staff looks to change things up.
