Phil Mickelson has just about done it all in his golf career. Three NCAA championships. Five major professional championships. Ryder and Presidents Cups. Pocketed more than $92 million in on-course earnings.
On Friday, he was the final answer (or would that be final question?) in an episode of the long-running game show “Jeopardy!”
Now in its 37th year on television, the final question in an episode that aired on Friday across the U.S. was:
“On Forbes’ 2020 list of the 100 highest-paid athletes, at age 50 this active individual sportsman is the oldest.”
The question was missed by all the show’s contestants.
Just when I think I’ve arrived ( I was the answer to tonight’s final Jeopardy question) I realize I still have a ways to go (they all got it wrong ):

Nonetheless, Phil’s followers were quick to react that they of course knew the answer.
“Me too,” Mickelson quipped back.

Another commenter said basically the show doesn’t tend to attract sports fans as contestants, which is probably true.
They all missed a question about Alabama’s opponent in the Iron Bowl. These aren’t sports fans we are dealing with…
