Dabo Swinney and the Tigers cut the Orange’s lead in the fourth quarter as Phil Mafah took a 1-yard carry on fourth down into the end zone to put the Tigers down 21-16.
After a rough game for starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, true freshman Cade Klubnik took over and brought some new energy to the Tigers’ offense. It was a 15-play 80-yard drive for the Tigers, with multiple fouls on the Orange helping Clemson make their way into scoring position.
The Tigers failed to convert on the 2-point conversion keeping them from needing just a field goal to tie things up. Regardless, it was a huge momentum swing for this Clemson offense.
