PFF’s perfect draft for non-playoff teams makes sense for Browns

This mock would fill to needs on the roster.

PFF has completed their perfect draft (three rounds) for each AFC team that missed the playoffs in 2022. Their picks for the Cleveland Browns make sense in terms of getting players that fill roster holes as they select Michigan corner DJ Turner and Missouri pass rusher, Isaiah McGuire.

“Turner allowed a catch on just 45.4% of the passes thrown into his coverage for his college career. McGuire is coming off his most productive season as a pass-rusher, producing an 82.0 pass-rush grade and registering 35 total pressures from 267 snaps.”

The DJ Turner pick makes sense as the team is lacking a true slot corner and Turner could fill that role and test out of his mind athletically. Turner ran a blazing 4.26-second 40-yard dash showing he has the explosive short-range speed and the long speed to keep up with any wide receiver on vertical routes.

Isaiah McGuire is a good athlete with an upside that can not only make an impact as a pass rusher but also excels at setting the edge in the run game. McGuire could make a nice rotational piece that can play early downs against the run as well as pin his ears back to rush the passer that can win with both speed and power.
