PFF says Broncos’ 2015 unit was best defense of the decade

The Broncos’ 2015 squad has been named the best defensive unit of the decade by Pro Football Focus.

The Denver Broncos’ 2015 defense that led the team to a win in Super Bowl 50 was named the best defensive unit of the decade by Pro Football Focus this week.

Several members of that defense reacted on Twitter, including former outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware:

Ravens defensive lineman Derek Wolfe, who started his career in Denver, responded as well:

Former Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib said that was his favorite team:

Free agent NFL safety Darius Butler said that 2015 squad was the best defense he’s seen live.

Even Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had to admit that Denver’s defense was “ridiculous.”

Wade Phillips, who coached Denver’s defense in 2015, chimed in too.

The Broncos defeated the Panthers 24-10 in the Super Bowl following the 2015 season and outside linebacker Von Miller was named the game’s MVP. Denver’s defense completely shut down NFL MVP Cam Newton, who was sacked six times, threw an interception and had no touchdown passes in the game.
