Vikings S Anthony Harris has been good in pass coverage back deep for Minnesota. Sure, he had an inconsistent 2020, but he should still command a high price in free agency.
With the way the Vikings’ salary cap space is looking, that could lead to Harris signing elsewhere. PFF recently predicted where Harris would land in free agency. The outlet tabbed him to go to the Browns for four years, $56 million ($27.5 million guaranteed). Here’s what PFF’s Anthony Treash wrote:
“The Cleveland Browns have transformed from a league-wide laughing stock into one of the best rosters from top to bottom in the NFL. However, they still need improvement in some areas, with the most notable being at the safety position. The good news is that the free-agent safety market is littered with talent, and they have the cap space to make a play for a guy like Harris, who looks capable of playing in any scheme.”
When Harris was a potential tag-and-trade candidate last offseason, many tabbed him to leave for a team like the Browns, so this team would not be a huge shock. It would be hard for Vikings fans, though, considering former offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski already went to Cleveland.
