PFF predicts two starters will leave Broncos during NFL free agency

PFF thinks the Broncos will lose cornerback Chris Harris and defensive lineman Shelby Harris during NFL free agency.

Anthony Treash of Pro Football Focus recently published a list predicting where the top 50 free agents will land this offseason and he believes two Broncos defenders will leave the team in March.

To be clear, this is not a report from PFF that these players are leaving or that Denver won’t try to re-sign them — it’s merely a prediction.

Treash predicts that cornerback Chris Harris will sign a two-year, $26 million contract with the Texans that includes $13 million guaranteed. If that’s what it would take to re-sign Harris, it seems like Denver should have a shot of bringing him back.

Treash also predicts that defensive lineman Shelby Harris will sign a four-year deal with the Lions worth $16.5 million with $7 million guaranteed. That also seems like a contract that the Broncos would be able to handle.

Treash does have the team re-signing safety Justin Simmons to a four-year, $57 million contract with $31.5 million guaranteed. He also has the team signing Ravens free-agent defensive lineman Michael Pierce to three-year, $15 million contract with $6.5 million guaranteed.

The new league year and NFL free agency will begin on March 18.
