PFF names 4 Titans to its 2020 NFL Pro Bowl team

Punter Brett Kern and running back Derrick Henry were the only two Tennessee Titans named to the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl.

Punter Brett Kern and running back Derrick Henry were the only two Tennessee Titans named to the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, left guard Rodger Saffold, safety Kevin Byard, cornerback Logan Ryan, defensive lineman Jurrell Casey and long snapper Beau Brinkley are alternates.

But Pro Football Focus made their own selections this week, and had more players from the team on the list.

The network’s team consists of Kern, Tannehill, center Ben Jones and wide receiver AJ Brown.

It’s curious to see PFF leave players like Henry off the list, but Brown and Tannehill certainly made a strong case to be named to the game.

Tannehill has brought new life to an offense that was stagnant at the beginning of the season, recording just two losses as a starter for Tennessee and throwing for 2,272 yards with 17 touchdowns since taking over in the middle of Week 6’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

It could also be easily argued that outside linebacker Harold Landry, Byard and Jones should have made the cut for the Pro Bowl.

All of PFF’s selections were based off of their own grading system and which players posted the highest overall grades.
