It looked like Michigan was going to have an easy time against Illinois after the first offensive drive of the game. The Wolverines had a seven-play, 75-yard drive that resulted in a Blake Corum touchdown.

But that was about all the offense could muster on Saturday.

Michigan defeated the Illini, 19-17, to improve to 11-0 on the season. The maize and blue scored a touchdown and Jake Moody connected on four field goals andthe fourth one was the game-winning field goal.

The Michigan offense did just enough to get Moody into a position to seal the win for the Wolverines but J.J. McCarthy and Co. struggled to get the ball into the end zone.

The maize and blue ended the game with 376 yards of total offense. J.J. McCarthy threw for 208 yards while completing 53% of his passes.
