Peyton Manning’s been waiting for this moment.
The former quarterback was in attendance at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday to watch the Denver Broncos clinch a spot in the NFL playoffs with a 38-0 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
One year earlier, Manning predicted Denver’s return to the postseason.
“Next year, the Broncos will be in the playoffs,” Manning said during a ManningCast playoff game on Jan. 15 last year. “I’m calling that right now.”
Manning was right.
After finishing the regular season with a 10-7 record, Denver is now back in the playoffs for the first time since Manning retired following the 2015 season.

Manning still lives in the Denver area and he attends most of the Broncos’ home games. He frequently refers to the team as “my Broncos,” and he backed them to make the playoffs all season.
