Peyton Manning tops Tom Brady in NFLPA marketing revenue and royalties

Even in retirement, Peyton Manning is generating more NFLPA-related revenue than Tom Brady.

Tom Brady has failed to top Peyton Manning in recent years.

In their last game against each other, Manning’s Broncos defeated Brady’s Patriots in the 2015 AFC Championship Game. Denver went on to win the Super Bowl that year and Manning then retired from football.

Earlier this year, Manning and Brady faced off in a competitive environment again — a charity golf match with Tiger Woods teamed up with Manning and Phil Mickelson paired with Brady. Manning and Woods won.

Manning is beating Brady off the field, too.

Last fiscal year, Manning led all NFL players (current and retired) in NFLPA marketing and royalty revenues, according to a report from The Athletic‘s Daniel Kaplan (subscription required for link).

Manning generated more than $3.3 million through NFLPA deals with companies including Electronic Arts, Nike, Fanatics and Panini. Brady ranked second among NFL players after generating $2.998 million. Those totals do not include the players’ individual endorsement deals.

Manning is still the face of football, even four years after retirement.
