KNOXVILLE — The stage is set for two of America’s top golfers to join two all-time NFL greats in a made for television golf event.
Tiger Woods will partner with VFL Peyton Manning, a Super Bowl winner with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, in a made-for-TV golf event in May.
Woods and Manning will take on two of their biggest rivals when they tangle with PGA great Phil Mickelson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
Brady recently left the New England Patriots for Tampa Bay, where he will play for Bruce Arians and be reunited with former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski retired from New England after beating the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl following the 2019 season.
The date for the golf match has yet to be determined and all donations and fundraising from “The Match: Champions for Charity” will benefit relief efforts for the COVID-19 pandemic.
