Peyton Manning has finally made it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and he couldn’t resist making one last joke at Tom Brady’s expense.
In the midst of a weekend of celebration for the sport of football, Manning made his Hall of Fame speech on Sunday enshrining him into the annals of history forever. It was an emotional speech, where Manning made a point to shout out his father Archie Manning in a poignant moment.
Manning’s speech also featured an incredible jab at Brady, who was attending the ceremony on behalf of his friend, as the 17-year NFL veteran sent one last parting shot his way. In one fell swoop, Manning roasted Brady’s lengthy NFL career and his fondness for breaking news on his Instagram account.
Peyton Manning on HOF speech times getting cut: “And speaking of rivals, my good friend Tom Brady is here tonight. By the time Tom Brady is inducted in his first year of eligibility in the year 2035, he’ll only have time to post his acceptance speech on his Instagram account.”
