Peyton Manning: ‘I’m not wearing black and red, that’s Georgia Bulldog colors’

Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Charity

HOBE SOUND — Capital One’s The Match: Champions for Charity is underway.

The match is fielding former University of Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning, teaming with Tiger Woods, against Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson.

Charles Barkley is on the call that is being televised by TNT.

Manning told Barkley that he is not wearing his partner Woods’ iconic red and black colors. The colors are also for the University of Georgia.

“Charles, Tom and Phil kind of have matching outfits,” Manning said. “They wanted to know, if I wanted to wear black and red like Tiger.

“I’m not wearing black and red, that’s Georgia Bulldog colors. I just can’t do that. You want me to get sick on the first hole, I’ll do it. I’m not going to let Kirby Smart get a picture of me in black and red for their social media.”
