Peter King adds insight into Vikings’ 17th game

The Minnesota Vikings will reportedly play the Los Angeles Chargers if there is to be 17 games in the NFL season. Peter King has reported whether it’s home or away.

If the Vikings were to play a 17th regular-season game, based on multiple reports, the team will be playing the Chargers.

Pro Football Talk’s Peter King has added some insight into whether that game could be at home or away for the Vikings. Per King, Minnesota will most likely be heading to LA to face the Chargers if game No. 17 goes into effect (H/T Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press).

As reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the league is planning on expanding to a 17-game regular season in 2021.

First, the NFL has to negotiate at least one new media contract in order to make the move to 17 games next season, according to the collective bargaining agreement (H/T Pelissero and Rapoport).

As of now, here are Minnesota’s 16 regular-season opponents for 2021.
