Seahawks fans got a scare yesterday when wide receiver DK Metcalf was carted off the field. Soon after, he was ruled out for the rest of the game with a knee injury.

After the game, coach Pete Carroll gave an update on Metcalf’s injury. He says the X-rays were negative but Metcalf will get an MRI.

Metcalf finished the afternoon with one catch for 12 yards. He’s up to 31 catches, 418 yards and two touchdowns for the season.

The Seahawks needed their other receivers to step up with Metcalf out, and Marquise Goodwin answered the call. He posted four catches, 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Update:

On his weekly ESPN radio hit, Carroll said that Metcalf does not need surgery. However, he doesn’t know how long he will be out.
