Penn’s high scoring guard Jordan Dingle enters transfer portal

One of the Ivy League’s best players has entered the transfer portal

One of the country’s top scorers from this past season, University of Pennsylvania guard Jordan Dingle has entered the transfer portal, he told ESPN on Friday morning.

The 6-foot-3 guard out of Blair Academy in New Jersey averaged 23.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.23 assist for the Quakers this past season over 28 games. For his career, he’s averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game over 79 total games and 72 starts. His fantastic 2022-23 season was a follow-up to an almost nearly as good 2021-2022 season that saw him post 20.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.

This past season, his 23.4 points per game was second in the nation only behind Detroit Mercy’s Antoine Davis who averaged 28.2 points per game. Overall, he was only one of 26 players in the entire country to average 20+ points a night.

Notably, Dingle is a volume shooter, he averaged nearly 17 shots per game this past season but was rather efficient in doing so with a 46.4% shooting percentage and an effective field goal percentage of 54.6%.

During his three years with Penn, Dingle was a two-time All-Ivy League selection and two-time All-Ivy League tournament selection as well as being named the 2019-20 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and the 2022-2023 Ivy League MVP.

Now in the transfer portal, Dingle is expected to become one of the more highly sought players in the transfer portal.
