Penn State is looking to pull off a major stunner in the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament on Friday night in Indianapolis as the Nittany Lions face the Purdue Boilermakers. After two straight nights of coming from behind at halftime to notch a win against Minnesota and Ohio State, Penn State once again has to dig deep and put together a full team effort to advance to the Big Ten semifinals this weekend.
Purdue won the only regular-season meeting between the two programs. Purdue left State College with a 74-67 victory in early January as Micah Shrewsberry got a chance to coach against his previous school for the first time (Shrewsberry was a Purdue assistant before being hired to be head coach at Penn State).
