After a long career behind the now Baltimore Raven [autotag]Jordan Stout[/autotag], [autotag]Jake Pinegar[/autotag] looks to ride momentum from this past bowl game against Arkansas and put it into the 2022 season.
Stout split punting duties with his place kicking responsibility, Pinegar never had a chance to be the “guy” but now this year he should have the kicking job all locked up. Pinegar was able to hit a 43-yard field goal against Arkansas and that good enough for the seventh-longest field goal in program history.
This year he will look to add more records to his resume as he replaces the high draft pick in Stout. Pinegar had a successful 2019 and 2020 campaign before being redshirted in 2021. In 2022 Penn State has a lot of questions on both sides of the ball but special teams should be reliable thanks to Pinegar.
