Penn State in top 10 of 2025 four-star defensive lineman

Penn State makes latest top schools list for four-star defensive lineman in 2025.

All eyes are still on Penn State’s highly touted class of 2024 that is still in the recruitment process. However, prospects in the 2025 class are starting to move forward in their own processes, with some already committing to schools.

Late last week, coveted four-star defensive lineman, Isaiah Campbell, cut his list of schools down to his top 10.

Campbell is a 6’4″ 250 pound prospect from Durham, North Carolina. He is a consensus four-star recruit across all four of the major recruiting sites and is ranked inside the top 100 players for both 247Sports and ESPN.

On3’s industry rankings is the average of the four major recruiting sites. They have him listed as the 125th overall player in the 2025 class, the 12th best defensive line prospect and number four player in the state of North Carolina.

Along with Penn State, the other schools on the list are Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Duke and NC State.

Campbell has been active with his unofficial visits so far. He’s taken a total of 22 so far. Being from the state of North Carolina, the schools he’s visited the most are instate. He’s visited the Tar Heels five times, Duke four times and NC State four times.

Due to this, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has those instate schools with the three best odds to land Campbell. North Carolina is first with a 27.4% chance, Duke is second at 19.2% and NC State third with 16.5%.

Clemson is the only other school on Campbell’s top 10 list that he’s taken an unofficial visit to as of now.

Penn State currently has three players committed to them in the class of 2025.
