Penn State drops in US LBM Coaches Poll ahead of Washington matchup

The Washington Huskies won’t have to face a top 5 Penn State team in Happy Valley according to the US LBM Coaches Poll.

Coming off a 26-21 win over the USC Trojans, the Washington Huskies are preparing to face the toughest environment they’ll see all year. Coach Jedd Fisch’s team will have to travel across the country to face off with the Penn State Nittany Lions, who will host their annual White Out at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night.

Coach James Franklin’s team is coming off its first loss of the season after falling 20-13 at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes inside the friendly confines of their home stadium. That loss also caused them to drop four spots in the US LBM Coaches Poll from No. 3 to No. 7.

The Huskies will face the largest crowd they’ve seen all season at Beaver Stadium, which holds 106,572 people. Following the top 5 battle with Ohio State, where the Nittany Lions hosted a record 111,030 people, the crowd is sure to be amped up for Washington’s cross-country trip.

Here’s the full top 25 in the coaches poll after Week 10.
