Penn State DE/LB Jesse Luketa accepts Senior Bowl invite

Penn State LB/DE Jesse Luketa is heading to the Senior Bowl

The college football regular season is beginning to wind down, which means players are beginning to evaluate their options for the future. On Monday, Penn State defensive talent Jesse Luketa officially accepted an invitation to participate in the Senior Bowl.

The Senior Bowl announced Luketa had accepted his invitation on Monday afternoon, so it is now already time to start breaking down just what the football world has in store for Luketa. Penn State has used him as a linebacker and defensive end this season, in part due to a need to provide some talent on the edge of the defensive line.

Luketa has been involved all season long in the production of the defense, so it is little surprise he was on the Senior Bowl’s radar.

The Senior Bowl is the top all-star game event for college football players heading to the NFL draft, and an invite to the Senior Bowl is not to be taken for granted. Every NFL team will be heavily represented in Mobile, Alabama for the week of practices leading up to the Senior Bowl. In addition to practices with actual NFL coaches, the Senior Bowl is a big opportunity to meet and talk to NFL coaches and front office excess, although the combine is still the top place to do so.
