Zion Williamson became the latest member of the New Orleans Pelicans to break down film of a previous game played this season as he recently put on his analyst cap for viewers at home.

Williamson jumped on FOX Sports New Orleans on Friday to provide some analysis of the Pelicans’ 110-104 win over the Miami Heat on March 6. For his part, Williamson tallied 17 points and six rebounds as he broke down some of the action.

On one play, in particular, Williamson caught an alley-oop dunk from Jrue Holiday off of the backboard. Williamson detailed how the play unfolded in the clip below.

My mindset on this play is Frank is in the corner, Jrue is cutting across the court. With somebody like Jrue in transition, you want to get out of his way, you don’t really want to be in his way because it makes it harder for him. When I see him cut to the right side, my thought is to go to the left side on the short post and Jrue is going to see that I have the mismatch with [Duncan] Robinson on the post and he is just going to put it up there. Lucky for me, it hit the backboard first but I was able to catch it and we got the two points.

Williamson provided sound analysis of each play as he walked fans watching through what he was thinking and what was coming next in the action. The best analysts can instantly break down a play and take just a few seconds to describe it in simple terms that viewers can understand.

He may just have another career waiting for him once he is done playing years from now.
