Paul George had a very smart response to Jared Dudley ripping him in new book

Well played.

Los Angeles Lakers vet Jared Dudley has stirred up the rivalry with the Clippers thanks to his new book, Inside the NBA Bubble: A Championship Season under Quarantine.

An excerpt from the book published this week was focused on how it was “disrespectful” for Clips star Paul George “to put himself on the level of [LeBron James] and [Anthony Davis].”

In short, it’s PG once again getting dumped on, and this time it’s not from fans.

So how would George react once he read that? He was asked about that on Wednesday and he very much took the high road with his response, avoiding any controversy:

I’d say that’s smart! Don’t add more fuel to the fire when you could meet the Lakers in the postseason and it’s bulletin board material. George is having a heck of a season, rebounding from a rough beginning to his Clippers career, and is letting his shooting touch that’s returned do a lot of talking.

Meanwhile, here’s Clippers coach Tyronn Lue responding:

Yup. That’s probably the best way to handle it. Also, more from Dudley!

We’ll see if this ends up playing out in the postseason.
