The New England Patriots went into their playbook for one of their favorite trick plays on Sunday against the New York Jets.
That’s right, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels drew up a receiver passing play. But — fun twist — he had Kendrick Bourne throwing a pass, rather than the usual suspect: Jakobi Meyers. Bourne, who lined up at running back, ran the ball wide where he could see Nelson Agholor streaking downfield after faking a run block.
Bourne, just before getting hit, tossed the ball downfield for Agholor, who walked into the end zone untouched. McDaniels has loved this style of trick play this season — it helped the Patriots put up an early score on Sunday.

Not a bad way to start the day for the offense.
