New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne owned up to a failed play in the Week 15 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
A film breakdown from CLNS’s Taylor Kyles showed wideout Demario Douglas targeted with a pass on a potential 3rd-and-19 conversion. Bourne was supposed to make a block on the play, but he ended up missing his assignment. As a result, Douglas was not able to get upfield enough to convert on the play.
Bourne responded to Kyles’ breakdown on X and took full responsibility for what happened.
“Facts, this is bad ball by me,” Bourne posted.

Bourne has been one of the few bright spots on offense. The veteran wideout could be a major piece of the puzzle moving forward, as the offense continues its search for a new identity ahead of the 2025 offseason.
