Patriots WR Ja’Lynn Polk’s honest response to early NFL struggles

Ja’Lynn Polk had an interesting take on his early struggles

New England Patriots wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk feels he is limited in what he can do.

Polk has yet to find a rhythm in his rookie campaign. He has 10 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown, with the touchdown coming in the team’s season-opening win against the Cincinnati Bengals. He recorded one catch for four yards on four targets in the Week 6 loss to the Houston Texans.

Coach Jerod Mayo was honest in pointing out Polk’s struggles earlier this week. However, Polk had an interesting take he shared with reporters, via MassLive’s Mark Daniels.

“I feel like I’m limited to what I can really do right now,” Polk said. “I mean, just continue to keep a good mindset and getting better.”

When asked to clarify, Polk added, “I wouldn’t say anything specific. I’ll just say I’m limited on certain things right now.”

One has to wonder what limitations Polk is talking about. However, there is still plenty of time left in the season for the rookie second-round draft pick to turn things around.
