Patriots Week 6 injury report: Two starters out on Wednesday

The Patriots released their first injury report ahead of Sunday’s game

The New England Patriots are looking dangerously thin at safety for a second consecutive week.

Kyle Dugger, who missed last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins, was still out with an ankle injury. The team is also missing Jabrill Peppers after he was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List on Wednesday.

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson was out as well with a foot injury. Stevenson left Sunday’s game early after his calf collided with the helmet of a defender. His health will be something to monitor throughout the week. It could mean more reps for veteran Antonio Gibson.

Here is the full injury report for the Patriots:

Did not participate

S Kyle Dugger, Ankle
RB Rhamondre Stevenson, Foot

Limited participant

WR Kendrick Bourne, Knee
DT Davon Godchaux, Elbow

It’s important to note that Stevenson said he felt like he could have gone back into the game after his injury. So perhaps he could be in line for a return on Thursday or Friday.

The Patriots need all of the help they can get with rookie Drake Maye starting at quarterback on Sunday.
